Hello there, I'm a Dutch Software Engineer,
photography enthusiast and I like my occasional coffee. At the end of 2021 I made the decision to make a career change and to become a Software Engineer. I first started with a 10-week course "Introduction to Full Stack Web Development". After this course I did an internship as a frontend web developer. A year later I came to the conclusion that I wanted to learn more than just frontend web development and decided to go back to school. And here I am... a Software Development (Ad) graduate and
Junior Software Engineer at Just Eat Takeaway.

These are some of the projects I'm currently working on or have worked on in the past. For example, the iCloudOS project is one I haven't worked on for years and maybe will never work on again. But the film_companion project is one I maybe will pick up again in the future.

One of the projects I'm currently working on, Tuks_Shop, is a collaboration with fellow students and a teacher.

Tuks is the Student Association of the Associate Degree Software Development at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Tuks provides a physical shop where members can buy drinks & snacks for a fair price. To pay for products there is a "digital version" of the shop. Which works, kind of...

Currently some members (students & teachers) are working on a new version of the "digital" shop. In this project I'm working on the frontend of the shop.

Some of the languages and frameworks we are using:

- Python (backend & frontend)

- FastAPI (backend/API)

- Flask (frontend)

- HTML, CSS, JavaScript (frontend)

../TripSplit

-> link_to_project

This is an Android App I created as an exam-project. The assignment was to create an Android App in 3 days time. What you were going to build was up to yourself.

The idea of the app is that you can create trips and invite friends so everyone who's joining in on the trip can see all expenses made for this trip. Then afterwards the 'admin' of the trip can split all costs to each of the trip-members.

../Film_Companion

-> link_to_project

This is a project I sometimes work on when I have some time off. It has been quiet for a while...

THE IDEA

- Use/create database with film info (speed(iso), nominal speed, max push/pull, ways to develop, etc.) and examples.

- Shooting notes (which roll, speed(iso), shutter speed, aperture, etc.).

- Info about Sunny16 rule and other rules.

- Use/create database with camera and lens info.

- Setting suggestions (based on history/already taken pictures)

../iCloudOS

-> link_to_project

This is a fun project I started as I was taking a Full Stack Web Developer starter course (10 weeks) at Bit Acadamy in 2021.

This project is in no way related to Apple or any of Apple subsidiaries. And was initiated as a personal and fun way to use my newly learned skills.

Used languages:

- HTML

- CSS

- JavaScript (used for UI element behavior)

- PHP (saving and using the correct name)
